The Business Council of New York State Welcomes Elee Wolf as Director of Workforce Development & Education
ALBANY — The Business Council of New York State, Inc., today announced the hiring of Elee Wolf as Director of Workforce Development & Education, a role where she will lead legislative advocacy and policy efforts focused on workforce development, education, childcare, and economic development.
In this position, Elee will work to advance policies that strengthen New York’s talent pipeline and help employers meet workforce needs across the state. Education and workforce development are core priorities for The Business Council, especially as New York continues to face labor shortages across nearly every sector of the economy.
“Elee brings valuable, hands‑on experience and a clear understanding of how workforce and education policies affect individuals, employers, and communities,” said Heather Mulligan, President & CEO of The Business Council of New York State. “Building a strong workforce starts with education, training, and access to opportunity, and Elee’s background closely aligns with the work we do every day on behalf of employers throughout New York.”
Before joining The Business Council, Elee worked directly on workforce development initiatives as Assistant Director of Community & Career Services at Albany Community Action Partnership, where she supported job training, career placement, and community‑based workforce programs. She has also led youth development initiatives in schools and community centers, giving her firsthand insight into the challenges facing students and workers.
Elee holds a master’s degree in public administration from the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs & Policy at the University at Albany and a bachelor’s degree in political science from SUNY New Paltz. She resides in the Capital Region.
