STATEMENT BY SECOND CHANCE BOARD CHAIR AND ASSEMBLYMEMBER EDDIE GIBBS ON THE PASSAGE OF THE NEW YORK CLEAN SLATE ACT


New York, NY – The Second Chance Democratic Club, founded by Assembly Member Eddie Gibbs, the first formerly incarcerated New York State legislator, is thrilled to announce the monumental passage of the Clean Slate Act by the New York State Legislature. This historic legislation marks a significant step forward in the pursuit of criminal justice reform and offers hope and opportunity to individuals seeking to rebuild their lives after incarceration.
