Park Strategies Adds Former CDTA CEO Carm Basile as Senior Advisor
(ALBANY, NY) — Park Strategies, one of Albany’s top strategic advisory firms, including a top-ten government relations practice, announced today that they have entered into an agreement with Carm Basile, former CEO of the Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA), to serve as Senior Advisor to the firm. Basile’s appointment is effective immediately.
Basile brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in government, management, and governance to the senior advisor role, and is well-known and highly regarded in both the public and private sectors throughout the Capital Region and beyond. His experience will complement the firm’s key practice areas, including transportation, local government relations, and board governance practice areas.
Basile, with a distinguished four-decade career in transit development and management, transformed CDTA into a community-focused mobility provider, with the organization being recognized as the Best Mid-Size Transit System in North America in 2017 by the American Public Transit Association. Basile will leverage his expertise and work in conjunction with all of Park Strategies’ government relations advisors and attorneys.
