ALBANY, NY — NYSID (New York State Industries for the Disabled, Inc.) has appointed five prominent New York State business leaders to its Corporate Partner Advisory Board, strengthening efforts to expand employment opportunities for people with disabilities and support stronger local and statewide economies.

NYSID builds strong relationships with private sector vendors committed to social responsibility, further diversifying employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities throughout NYSID’s 50-years of job creation. The organization currently works with more than 42 approved Corporate Partners in collaboration with Member Agencies across the state. These efforts are responsible for more than 1,100 NYSID jobs and $18 million in wages annually.

NYSID Corporate Partner collaborations reinforce Governor Kathy Hochul’s Executive Order 40, which advances the creation of inclusive workplaces and the expansion of economic opportunity for individuals with disabilities across the state. It is an approved initiative within New York State’s Preferred Source Program, established under Article XI, Section 162 of the New York State Finance Law.

Through these NYSID partnerships, individuals earn competitive wages and work in integrated settings alongside non‑disabled colleagues. The success of these collaborations demonstrates the value of a truly equitable workforce and highlights the essential contributions people with disabilities make to New York’s economy.

“We are thrilled to strategize with these outstanding business leaders to further expand employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities,” said Maureen O’Brien, president and CEO of NYSID. “Each Partner brings deep expertise and a wealth of experience, and we look forward to working together to expand opportunity and make a meaningful difference.”

The committee includes these established private sector employers:
