NY Reporter Joe Spector Joins Global Strategy Group
Today, Joe Spector joins Global Strategy Group (GSG) as a Vice President of Communications and Public Affairs in their New York City office. Spector comes to GSG with over two decades of experience reporting in New York and brings deep knowledge of the state’s political landscape to support the agency’s growing client roster.
His most recent position was as the New York Editor at Politico, where he was responsible for overseeing government and politics coverage in Albany and New York City. Previously, Spector was the Atlantic Region Government Accountability and Politics Editor for USA TODAY. There, he managed coverage in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland. In 2019, he founded the New York State Team and served as its editor, collaborating with reporters statewide. From 2009 to 2019, Joe was the Albany Bureau Chief for Gannett and has been a political reporter in New York since 2002.
