NEW YORK HEALTH PLAN ASSOCIATION ON THE “PEOPLES’ BUDGET” PROPOSAL
“We applaud the Black, Puerto Rican, Hispanic, and Asian Legislative Caucus for including full funding for the Medicaid Quality Incentive Program in the 2024 Peoples’ Budget.
“This program has been a vital resource in improving the health of more than five million New Yorkers, supporting innovate partnerships among health plans, providers and community organizations that address the core causes of health disparities and advance the quality – and equity – of care to the state’s most vulnerable residents. Full funding in the FY25 State Budget is critical to continue and enhance these efforts.
“We thank the Caucus for its leadership and the high priority it has placed in its support for the Medicaid QI Program and urge the Governor to adopt this recommendation when the Executive Budget is released next month.”
