WHY: Workplace age discrimination against Americans age 50 and over robbed the U.S. economy of $850 billion in 2018 alone, and 78% of workers 50-plus report they’ve seen or experienced age discrimination in the workplace, according to an AARP poll this year. It’s time to change the outdated and harmful mindset that leads to ageism and age discrimination – and to develop initiatives to combat age discrimination in the workplace.
