ALBANY, NY — Andrew Mangini, a communications veteran with decades of experience, announced today that he has started his own firm, Ash Beekman, that will specialize in high-stakes public affairs and public relations.

Ash Beekman seeks to be the state’s go-to firm for businesses, associations and individuals with communications challenges. With deep experience with New York’s media and a keen understanding of how government, policy and communications intersect, the firm knows how to execute winning campaigns. Mangini previously worked at some of upstate New York’s most well-known communications firms, leading entire public affairs departments.

Mangini founded Ash Beekman with substantial public affairs wins under his belt, earning a seat at the table as some of New York’s most high-profile issues were debated. He helped bring casino gaming to the Capital Region. He shared the story of New York’s first ever medical cannabis patient. He worked with the restaurant industry to navigate the pandemic. He’s supported billions in economic development that have transformed communities.

The firm has expertise in public affairs and public relations, advocacy campaign planning, crisis communications, media and message training, coalition building, executive communications and more.

Mangini’s great-grandparents emigrated from Italy and settled in Saratoga Springs, living at the corner of Ash and Beekman streets. They opened the community’s first Italian grocery store across the street, and their home was the epicenter of the family’s roots for generations. Mangini’s grandfather was a serial entrepreneur with a kind heart, and his philanthropic efforts were well documented and celebrated. That same community impact is what we strive to replicate at Ash Beekman.

Ash Beekman focuses on communications challenges in the following fields:
