ElectrifyNY Coalition To Join Legislative Sponsors of Green Transit, Green Jobs Act to Demand Bill’s Passage This Session

On Tuesday, April 25th at 11 am, lawmakers and advocates from the ElectrifyNY coalition will host a virtual rally in support of the Green Transit, Green Jobs Act (S.6089/A.6414). Right now, electric buses account for only 0.2% of the 190 million miles traveled by New York’s transit buses every year. The bill will require public transportation systems in New York to purchase zero-emission buses and related equipment, while providing protections for workers and contributing to good, community sustaining jobs.
