Hochul Raised $6.3M into Her Campaign Account – Over $2.5M into New York State Democratic Party

Hochul’s Haul Means Nearly $15M Total Raised in 2023

NEW YORK — Today, Governor Kathy Hochul announced that she has raised $8.8 million total from mid-July through mid-January 2024. This impressive fundraising haul includes $6.3 million into Friends for Kathy Hochul for her re-election and $2.5 million for the New York State Democratic Party to rebuild party infrastructure and help elect Democrats up and down the ballot.

Hochul reported over $9 million cash on hand in her campaign account. In the year 2023, Hochul raised nearly $15 million total.

“We are working every single day to make life in New York safer and more affordable, with a commonsense agenda that advances the common good, and I’m honored that so many are supporting our campaign and that vision for our state,” said Governor Kathy Hochul.

Hochul continued, “I am proud to continue investing millions of dollars in the New York State Democratic Party as our team builds the strongest and most modern state party in our history. Ultimately, Democrats will be successful in 2024 if we have a message that speaks to hardworking New Yorkers’ greatest aspirations and anxieties, and if we have the infrastructure to communicate and turn out voters across this entire state. I know this ongoing investment – and my critical partnership with Senator Gillibrand and Leader Jeffries – will get the job done in 2024.”

Notably, new fundraising limits are in effect in New York starting this election cycle. In the first half of 2023, Hochul raised over $4.5 million into her campaign account and over $1.5 million into the state party.
