WHAT: U.S. Rep. Hakeem Jeffries and Hip Hop legend Doug E. Fresh will join AARP New York, the NAACP New York State Conference, New York Urban League, Asian American Federation and Hispanic Federation as they release Disrupting Racial & Ethnic Disparities 3.0 – new research showing how the COVID-19 pandemic has disproportionately impacted older New Yorkers of color in the areas of food insecurity, rent, and nursing homes.

This new report is the latest in a multi-year initiative launched in 2018 by AARP New York, the NAACP New York Conference, New York Urban League, Asian American Federation and Hispanic Federation to document historic disparities faced by older New Yorkers of color and identify and advocate for actionable legislative and policy solutions.
