Partnership Enhances School Safety via Faster, More Comprehensive and Affordable Guest Management System

ALBANY, NY [September 28, 2026]: CLPS and Coram today announced a strategic partnership that  unifies Coram’s industry-leading Guest Management System with CLPS’s comprehensive suite of  evidence-based school safety technologies and services, providing schools with robust, 360-degree  school safety solutions.

The partnership represents CLPS’s commitment to providing schools with high-efficacy, fully  integrated, yet practical and easy-to-use, methods to preventing and mitigating critical incidents at  schools across the United States. CLPS serves approximately 20 percent of schools in New York  State, along with local, county and state law enforcement agencies.

The Guest Management System provides a secure digital check-in experience designed to give  organizations greater visibility and confidence in ensuring the safety of students and staff. Key  components include but are not limited to:

Extensive Background Screening:

  • screens against 650 million records across 2,400 sources (state criminal repositories,  county courthouses, arrest/warrant databases, sex-offender registries) in all 50 states,  D.C. and U.S. territories
  • operates on three layers: blacklist match, ID verification and criminal background check
  • provides a “Pending Approval” workflow (admin approve/deny, auto-deny if untouched  after three hours)

PII-Safe by Design: A privacy and compliance differentiator with no stored ID images, hashed  document numbers (last 4 digits only), DOB discarded after use, encrypted photos.  Competitors retain raw ID scans.

Offline-first Kiosk: check-in (photos, IDs, signatures, NDA, consent) keeps working with no  internet, syncing once reconnected — and flags a guest retroactively if a criminal record is  identified once system is back online.

Site-license Pricing: affordable, with one license per location and unlimited users (iPads) and  unlimited searches

“By integrating Coram’s Guest Management System with our agnostic school safety portfolio, CLPS  helps schools address one of the most important, and often overlooked, components of school  security, which is knowing who is in the building and, in real time, seeing where they are,” said Dr.  Matthew Miraglia, President and CEO of CLPS. “This technology partnership enables CLPS to be a  one-stop-shop provider for all school safety and security solutions and services.”

“Schools invest heavily in securing doors, preparing staff, and planning for emergencies, but the front  desk often remains a critical security gap,” said Ashesh Jain, Coram CEO. “A paper log records what  visitors claim and can’t verify identities or flag potential threats. Through our partnership with CLPS,  we’re excited to bring Coram Guest Management to more schools and help create safer campuses  with fast, reliable visitor screening.”

The marriage of Coram’s Guest Management System and CLPS’s technologies and services will  synergize security outcomes via CLPS’s evidence-based School Safety Program, which includes:

TAP App Security:

  • high-fidelity emergency alert communication system (multi-platform; iOS, Android,  Windows, Chrome, Mac): Mobile App, Computer and Laptop App, Wearable Critical  Alert Lanyards, Panic Buttons
  • allows instant real-time horizontal communication internally between employees and  communicates with designated external organizations such as LEAs, 911 Centers,  Real-time Crime Centers and Security
  • includes several emergency management features and is highly customizable for  multiple verticals

TAP App Student

  • provides students with a safety reporting tool to address threats of violence, self-harm,  abuse, and other “see something say something” safety concerns
  • allows for anonymous reporting, tracking, and easy case management. Ideal for K-12  and Higher Education.

Emergency Management & Reunification Plan

  • innovative system allows organizational managers and authorized system  administrators to develop customized emergency management and reunification plans o the proprietary system includes essential sections, such as functional annexes, threat specific annexes, active assailant protocol, continuity of operations procedures,  emergency response, threat assessment and medical response teams.
  • includes additional unique features such as digital imaging and mapping, automated  safety drill reminders, and the capability to upload important documents and critical  information to the plan

Threat & Behavioral Assessments

  • school-based Threat Management assessments that include the Harm Prevention  Threat Management (The Florida) model, Deisinger Threat Management model,  Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale, and Bullying Intervention

Security and Vulnerability Audits

  • the asset/target hardening component that provides comprehensive audits conducted  by certified, highly trained security experts and combines analysis of quantitative and  qualitative data
  • assesses risk levels in key areas, including emergency planning, physical security, policies and procedures, communication protocols and other environmental considerations
  • produces comprehensive digital reports that outline strengths, vulnerabilities, and  actionable recommendations.

The CLPS-Coram partnership will not only provide schools with the roadmap to get, and remain,  compliant with all school safety mandates, but also empower progressive school leaders to go beyond  the mandated requirements and implement best practices to achieve optimal security results.

GUEST MANAGEMENT SYSTEM INFORMATION

  • Sex Offender Registry: 50 states, D.C. and all U.S. territories
  • Criminal Data Sources: 2,400-plus sources
  • State Criminal Repositories: all 50 states
  • Arrest and Warrant Records: all 50 states
  • Records Searched: 650 million-plus
  • Screening Speed: < 0.5 seconds
  • One record, not three systems. A guest’s check-in, photo and ID sit next to the camera  footage from the same minute and the door events from the same door. Same dashboard,  same users, same site list as Coram cameras and access control. No integration project, no  data export, no second login.
  • Works with the cameras already on the wall. Coram is camera-agnostic and runs on the IP  cameras an organization already owns. Competing guest products that come bundled with a  camera line only pay off if a customer commits to that one brand for everything. Most  buildings are mixed.
  • Fast enough that nobody backs up at the door. Screening returns in under 0.5 seconds.  End-to-end check-in takes about 90 seconds, including photo, ID and required forms. That  matters at 7:45 a.m. in a school lobby.
  • Turned on, not deployed. Existing Coram video and access control customers enable visitor  management inside the account they already have. No new vendor, no new server, no new  contract cycle.
  • Scales by building, not by door. One site license covers a location no matter how many  entrances it has. A high school can put an iPad at the main office, the gym and the bus loop for  the same price as one.
