“It all starts and ends with the family.” Figliola said in announcing his decision to run.

Figliola has a successful track record of fighting for Long Islanders, having championed major legislation that led to the creation of thousands of jobs for New Yorkers and hundreds of millions in local investments. He has a deep understanding of the legislative process having worked within the state capitol.  Figliola has worked to protect natural resources, secured hundreds of millions in funding for public and private sector initiatives, advocated for life, and fought for families, and small businesses.

“My wife, Christine, and I are lifelong residents of the 1st Congressional District. We are raising our three children here because we want them to live in a community where their quality of life is assured. But every day, it’s becoming harder and harder for Long Island residents and families to make ends meet. Too many people are living paycheck to paycheck, only one unexpected home repair or medical bill away from financial ruin. We need to make a change before families are priced out of Long Island for good. As your Congressman, I will fight for job creation, quality schools, parental choice to ensure our children’s future,” said Figliola.

Figliola announced six pillars of his campaign:

  • Job Creation and Economy
  • Fighting for Life and Liberty
  • Protecting Our Healthcare
  • Supporting Veterans and Law Enforcement
  • Safeguarding Our Environment
  • Standing with Israel

Figliola and his wife, Christine have been married for eleven years. They are the proud parents of three children, Anthony, Siena, and Celine. Figliola is a native of Rocky Point, Long Island. He received his B.A. in Political Science and his M.A. in Public Policy from Stony Brook University. He has over 20 years of public and private sector experience and currently serves as the Executive Vice President of a government relations and economic development business. Prior to that, he was a Deputy Supervisor in the Town of Brookhaven, where he helped to attract and retain dozens of businesses to the town – creating thousands of local jobs.

“My election will give the voters of the 1st Congressional District a representative who follows the issues, works 24-7, and is committed to the highest ethical standards.,” stated Figliola.

“To carry on Lee Zeldin’s legacy, his successor must have the energy and fortitude to do what is necessary and to fight for the people of the 1st Congressional District and this nation.”
