Matthew McMorrow Joins Actum as a Senior Vice President
New York, New York – Actum LLC, a global consulting firm, today announced that Matthew McMorrow, who served in senior roles at New York City Hall and the Governor’s Office over the past eight years, has joined Actum as a Senior Vice President at its fast-growing New York City office. McMorrow brings nearly two decades of experience in politics, government, and civil rights advocacy to Actum.

McMorrow has advised one New York City mayor and two New York governors over the past eight years. Most recently, he served as Deputy Director of Constituency Affairs for New York Governor Kathy Hochul. Prior to his government service, McMorrow was the Director of Government Affairs at the Empire State Pride Agenda, at which he developed and executed advocacy strategies in Albany and New York City, building bipartisan support for key pieces of legislation. Earlier in his career, he was a legal recruiter at the New York law firm Cadwalader and served on the boards of directors of the Brooklyn Community Pride Center and the Counseling Service of the Eastern District of New York.

Originally from Connecticut, McMorrow is a graduate of New York University and has lived in New York City for more than 20 years, primarily in Brooklyn. In 2015, City & State named him one of the Forty Under Forty Rising Stars of Albany. In 2019, 2020, and 2021, it included him on its “Pride Power 100” list of the most influential LGBTQ leaders in New York State.
