Governor Hochul to Hit the Campaign Trail as Part of Coordinated Campaign’s Weekend of Action

Today, the Hochul campaign released two new campaign ads for the general election, ”Every Penny” and “100%,” kicking off a multimillion-dollar statewide ad campaign that will run through Election Day on broadcast, cable, streaming, and digital platforms.

The ad campaign is launching as Governor Hochul hits the campaign trail next week as part of the New York State Democratic Party’s coordinated campaign weekend of action that will include more than 150 organizing events across the state to mobilize voters ahead of the November election.

In “Every Penny,” Governor Hochul tells the story of her first job at a Buffalo pizzeria, narrating her family’s experience stretching every penny to make ends meet and how it inspires her fight for New York families.

The ad “100%” tells a different story, using Bruce Blakeman and Donald Trump’s own words from a variety of appearances together, including their joint event last Friday in New York. The ad highlights that Blakeman has praised Trump as the “greatest president in my lifetime,” with “peace, love, and Donald Trump” as he supports policies raising the cost of gas, groceries, and healthcare.

Friends for Kathy Hochul Campaign Manager PRESTON ELLIOTT released the following statement:

“Our campaign is taking the contrast in this election to voters’ screens, doorsteps, and phones: while Governor Hochul fights for your family, Bruce Blakeman fights for Donald Trump. We’re building out an organizing machine and putting in the work that will ensure New Yorkers have a Governor who understands what it means to stretch every penny and who will deliver real results to lower costs, protect our kids, and make communities safer.

“Meanwhile, Bruce Blakeman is a ‘100% MAGA’ puppet who will let ICE run rampant, gut our healthcare, and raise costs on all New Yorkers. Unlike our opponent, we don’t need to use AI or made-up attacks – these are his own real words of adoration about Donald Trump and his policies, and New Yorkers should be deeply concerned.”
