The Governor’s Efforts Drew Grassroots Support From a Record 27,000 Unique Donors – the Most of Any Governor of New York This Century for This Period

NEW YORK — Today, Governor Kathy Hochul announced raising $17 million in the July 2026 filing period. This total includes $5.6 million to her re-election campaign from a record 27,000 unique donors, and $11.4 million raised into the New York State Democratic Party to continue investing in a robust Coordinated Campaign and ensure Democrats take back the House in November. The campaign will end this filing period with more than $20 million cash on hand, and the New York State Democratic Party will end the filing period with more than $22 million cash on hand.

For the third filing period in a row, the Governor has earned grassroots donations from New Yorkers in all 62 counties. A majority of her contributions came from New York State.

“Our movement is big and getting bigger — with more than 5 times the number of unique donors than this time last cycle, an average online donation of $20, and our third filing in a row with grassroots donations from all 62 counties,” said Friends for Kathy Hochul Campaign Manager Preston Elliott. “The governor’s historic investment in building a strong coordinated campaign means we will not only send Blakeman packing a sixth time this November, but also help Democrats take back the House and flip local offices across the Empire State.”

Since winning re-election in 2022, Governor Hochul has raised a total of over $71M for her re-election campaign and to fund and strengthen the New York State Democratic Party, boosting Democrats’ efforts to win 5 of 7 battleground House seats in 2024. Her campaign and the state party’s combined cash in hand now stands at $42M.
